Nail Trimming
Nail maintenance is essential care for your dog.
Unlike cats, dogs are unable to retract their nails. This means that nails that are in constant contact with the ground will distort the bones in the foot and the bony column of the leg, causing pain and eventually arthritis.

Despite the importance of regular nail trims, this task is often and understandably skipped due to the very real risk of injuring your dog if you are unsure of how to properly trim their nails. Your feelings are valid!

We are happy to offer a mobile nail trimming service.
We can keep your dog on a regular trimming schedule, or teach you how to do it!

If your dog is extremely averse to nail trims, we can still work with you via training sessions or special accommodations.

Nails should be trimmed every 1 - 4 weeks. Frequency depends on length and rate of growth, every dog is an individual!
